Hello, my name is Ayush Kumar. I'm currently an undergraduate student at IIT BHU, Varanasi. Throughout my college journey so far, I've developed a keen interest in problem-solving. My academic experience has equipped me with strong analytical skills and the ability to think critically. I'm excited about applying my skills and experiences to contribute to new projects and eager to learn many new things!
Describe your experience while working here at WeCP
During my time at WeCP, I had a valuable experience, particularly with my manager Kuntal. He always supported me and guided me throughout the whole journey and helped me whenever I was stuck. While working at WeCP, I learned about different approaches to solve new problems and also about how the WeCP platform works. Overall, working at WeCP has always been fun and stress-free.
WeCP gives you complete ownership of the tasks that are assigned to you. Which task that you owned at WeCP was your favorite?
One of my favorite tasks while working at WeCP is thinking about a new problem and an algorithm for solving and the optimization of the problem. This allowed me to exercise my problem-solving skills and creativity.
In hindsight, is there anything you would have done differently during your stay at WeCP with respect to the work that you did?While testing a programming problem created by a different setter, we were not able to see how the setter came up with that problem and what was their thinking process while preparing the problem. For this, we can add a new feature where the setter can share their thinking process while creating a programming problem.
Where and what are you currently working on? What are your plans for the future?
I'm currently focused on expanding my knowledge of new technologies in the software domain, and I want to use my problem-solving skills to create innovative solutions. I'm also passionate about exploring emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and cloud computing.
What were your takeaways from this internship?
During this internship, I gained valuable insights and experiences that have contributed to my growth. Some of them are:
- Collaboration and Working with Team: While working with Kuntal, he taught me the importance of effective communication. I also learned how to effectively contribute to group projects, share ideas, and work towards common goals within a team.
- Problem-Solving Skills: I encountered various new challenges and tasks that required creative problem-solving and thinking. Through overcoming these challenges, I learned to approach problems with a new mindset.

Most memorable moments were the discussions with Kuntal while testing the programming problems.
