You wouldn’t understand tech unless you try it and once you try it, it’s only a matter of minutes before you see how complex and vast it can get.
The problem with this is, it can seem daunting! The many words, languages, skills, codes and everything else that paints a futuristic image is often ‘not made for me’. Even years of schooling can sometimes lead a few away from the field rather than towards it.
All because technology never stops.
Every day there is something new, some small task accomplished by a complex feat, a question solved. How do I know this? I googled it.
Before the 2000’s no one would have heard of Google. Now it’s a one-stop answer for any and every question. But Google in itself is an intricate matter. Yet, it has now become a verb in our vocabulary.
Asking the right questions leads you to make better-informed decisions. And, informed decisions are vital when building organisations; companies that innovate and advance, to further modernise life. To do so, you start with innovators, someone who can put you on the map and then develop. You’re looking for people who Can; however, to identify them, you need to put their skills to the test. Ask them, “Just how much do you know?”
When looking to identify technical cognizance, you need to understand what you are looking for. However, this is the problem. Since many people don’t understand tech (nearly more than 37% of the global population), they are not capable of asking the right questions required to build the right team.
This is where our story begins.
Two programmer friends and college roommates realised that campus hiring was a little flawed. Some candidates were passing coding tests by memorising answers, or some questions were too easy. This was because recruiters were using coding problems that are widely available on the internet. The questions were generic and not specific to real-world issues that companies were actually solving. The kind of tests that were being presented to candidates couldn't differentiate between average coders and those potentially capable of solving real business problems.
This means there was ineffective hiring. A recent McKinsey report about employee performance in an organisation stated that 32% of the workforce do just the bare minimum, while only 4% are considered rare, have a huge positive impact on others and bring disproportionate value to the company.
So, in 2016, Abhishek and Mohit (friends/roommates turned founders) decided to take it upon themselves and Create Problems - that would help companies hire better and, more importantly, help anyone create a technical question that can solve a problem.
The idea was to develop a software that automatically generates questions that can be used to accurately assess one’s skills and knowledge base. And for Anyone to be able to do so!
So if you’re a Recruiter but don’t understand technical concepts, yet are tasked with hiring a techie, all you have to do is type a prompt.
The buck doesn’t stop here for us!
Our software is equipped to help not just recruiters but, anyone who wants tech to be a part of their life! We understand that skills are brought through practice and learning and what better way to learn than with authentic and original scenarios.
For example, post recruiting candidates, you’re looking for performance enhancement. A great way to do this is by upskilling employees or scheduling training to encourage learning and growth. Our skills assessment tools perfectly fit the picture and have been used time and again by L&D Managers.
Apart from a corporate setting - learning, assessing and evaluating different skills begin at educational institutions. For options such as online learning platforms, school or university assessments, hackathons or even coding boot camps, we bring you easy-to-curate and use tests that can help identify and develop top talent.
From teachers and educational institution owners to corporate decision-makers, or even simply individuals with a passion for learning, whether you know the intricacies of technical skills or not, WeCP is at your service.
Understanding the acute need for the easiest user experience, resource-saving, productivity-boosting and overall making life easier, WeCP was born to tick all these boxes. From the simplest to most complex questions, you can design a test or assessment which can be used not only in the recruiting field but also for assignments, competitions, training and so much more!
The problems we create are updated and relevant for you to excel and show your best self. Our program is designed to generate a unique and practical question each time to precisely evaluate one’s technical skills.
A question that would normally require experts, time, money and other valuable organisational resources, is now automated and easily available! We don’t stop at just creating the question, we help you share it with relevant candidates, grade and assess performance so you can make an informed decision.
Other natural language processors gather data from hundreds of sources on the web and curate a result, but if you’re looking for something original, look no further than WeCP. Just type a prompt to get started and you’ll see that even you can dot the ‘I’s and cross the ‘T’s as a Techie.
Move from chaos to clarity with WeCP.
